A 32-year-old man was shot in the shoulder during an attempted robbery while conducting a cryptocurrency transaction shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Police said the victim was driving a Nissan Note around 12:30 a.m. accompanied by another man known only as Johnathon, who was carrying about $10,000 in cash intended for crypto transactions.
The pair reportedly met an unknown man wearing a dark blue coverall and hat near the Champs Fleur shops. Moments later, another man dressed in dark clothing allegedly approached the vehicle, brandished a gun and fired a shot, striking the victim in the left shoulder.
