A 23-year-old man from Arouca was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly impersonating a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and being found with several counterfeit police items.

According to police, officers conducted an intelligence-led operation around 12.30 p.m. on March 4 in the Piarco Old Road area after reports that a suspicious individual believed to be armed was posing as a police officer.

Acting on the intelligence, officers went to the suspect’s residence along Piarco Old Road and searched it.
