A coordinated multi-agency police operation across Port-of-Spain and the North Eastern Divisions between Friday evening and early Saturday morning led to the seizure of items resembling official police gear.
The operation, spearheaded by ACP Michael Pierre, Snr Supt Ramnarine, Supt Ramsook, and ASP Singh, and coordinated by Insp Price, involved officers from Operation Hope B and multiple police stations. Acting on intelligence, officers searched a bushy area on Grenado Street, Barataria, around 4:30 p.m. and discovered a partially buried plastic drum containing three blue tactical jackets with police patches, three black tactical pants similar to those used by tactical units, and a black police cap and a pair of tactical boots.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the source and legality of the items.
