People’s National Movement (PNM) deputy political leader and MP for Diego Martin North/East Colm Imbert has criticised the United National Congress’ (UNC’s) decision to continue with its Monday Night Report, describing it as “shameless”.
In a post on X on Wednesday, Imbert said, “After creating a firestorm with the arbitrary cancellation of the Independence Parade, the UNC Government has shamelessly declared that it is continuing its Monday night public meetings at which the entire Cabinet will be gathered in one place.”
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Imbert dismissed the UNC’s explanation of the security threat for not having the Independence Parade.
