Finance Minister Dave Tancoo’s claims about the PNM last weekend were “asinine”, former finance minister Colm Imbert stated yesterday.
He was responding to Tancoo’s criticism in a TikTok video last Saturday of the People’s National Movement’s stance on the cancellation of the Independence parade.
Asked for comment yesterday, Tancoo asked why, in the face of a viable security threat against high office holders, including members of the Judiciary, the police service and prison service (leading to the Government’s decision to cancel the Independence Day Parade), the PNM was so anxious to have these individuals in one place. “Who exactly is the PNM trying to facilitate? The criminals?” he asked.
