(Kaieteur News) – President Irfaan Ali on Wednesday announced plans to establish a Government Service Centre in Santa Rosa, Moruca, which he said will bring essential public services closer to residents of the sub-region.
The announcement was made during the president’s outreach to Region One, where he explained that the facility will transform the existing post office into a one-stop location for a range of government services.
The centre will provide access to services from agencies including the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) and the General Register Office (GRO). It will also offer digital identification services, passport renewal assistance, agricultural extension support and banking services through an automated teller machine (ATM).
