(Kaieteur News) – President Dr. Irfaan Ali on Tuesday launched a series of community consultations in Region Three as the government rolled out a pilot programme aimed at transforming villages into safer, more connected and economically vibrant communities.
According to the Department of Public Information, the president met with residents of Leonora, Tuschen, Zeelugt, Goed Fortuin, Parfaite Harmonie and Pouderoyen to discuss proposed infrastructure upgrades, economic opportunities and development priorities. The initiative is expected to be expanded to communities across the country.
“We are launching a programme that will eventually touch every single village in our country,” President Ali told residents.
