(Kaieteur News) – As part of national efforts to bring critical government services to citizens, the government has launched another service center, the latest facility now opened at Port Mourant, Corentyne in Region Six.
The center was officially commissioned on Wednesday, but had already began providing services to citizens since 20th May, 2026.
With the center now in operation, citizens of Region Six can now access important services all in one location instead of travelling to Georgetown, saving time and scaling back delays. The center serves as a multipurpose hub to facilitate tax-related matters pertaining to the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), matters associated with the General Registrar’s Office (GRO), and immigration matters particularly such as passport processing.
