Po­lice re­cov­ered a firearm and ar­rest­ed one man dur­ing hy­brid ex­er­cis­es con­duct­ed in the North East­ern and Port-of-Spain Di­vi­sions on Tues­day.

Around 3:45 p.m., of­fi­cers act­ing on in­for­ma­tion searched a bushy area in El So­cor­ro and found a white plas­tic bag con­tain­ing a Beretta 9mm pis­tol, a mag­a­zine, and three rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.

At about 5:00 p.m., of­fi­cers on pa­trol at Williams Street and Aranguez Main Road ar­rest­ed a 46-year-old man of Bom­bay Street, Aranguez, for ob­scene lan­guage and re­sist­ing ar­rest.
