One man was arrested and three firearms, along with quantities of ammunition and cannabis, were seized during a series of anti-crime exercises conducted by police in the North-Eastern and South-Western Divisions this week.
According to police, officers attached to the North-Eastern Division Task Force and the Canine Unit carried out coordinated operations between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday within several communities in the division.
During the exercise, officers searched the homes of several persons of interest, including the residence of a 58-year-old man along Ward Lane, El Socorro. Police said officers discovered a transparent bag containing 138.7 grammes of cannabis during the search.
