Corriverton teen charged with manslaughter released to parents

(Kaieteur News) â Four days after being involved in an altercation that left a man dead, a 15-year-old boy of Corriverton, Corentyne, was charged with manslaughter.
The teen was arrested on August 12, 2026, by Corporal 22539 Benjamin and was charged on August 17.
He was reportedly involved in a physical confrontation with Mohamed Hasmat Hussain, a 55-year-old fisherman of 23 Dukestown, Corriverton. Hussain sustained a fatal wound allegedly inflicted by the teen.
