(Kaieteur News) – A 20-year-old man was on Friday remanded to prison for murdering his friend and workmate, 27-year-old Naresh Seecharran.

The suspect, Parmeshwar Lionel, of Lochaber Village, West Canje Berbice, appeared at the Whim Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tuana Hardy, where he was charged with murder.

It is alleged that on 6th July, 2026, Lionel, called ‘Small Man’, murdered Seecharran, called ‘Cat’ at Port Mourant Village, Corentyne.
