PM to review SoE with National Security Council

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said yesterday she will soon meet with the National Security Council to discuss the State of Emergency (SoE).

Parliamentary approval is required for a second three-month extension of the SoE.

The second session of the 13th Republican Parliament is scheduled to begin tomorrow, when both the House of Representatives and the Senate will meet.
