Two men were targeted in a robbery with violence on Mendoza Avenue, San Juan, while attempting to purchase a vehicle via Facebook Marketplace.
It happened around noon on Monday when the victims were confronted in their silver Wingroad wagon by two men, one armed with a firearm. The suspects announced a robbery, relieving the victims of the $36,500 they had brought along to make the purchase, their wallet containing personal identification, a cordless drill, and a Black & Decker grinder.
The suspects then drove off with the victims’ vehicle, valued at $95,000, but it was later recovered at Lovers Lane, San Juan.
