A father and son were robbed at gunpoint in Arima on Friday after being lured by a fake vehicle sale posted on Facebook Marketplace.
Police said around 10:55 a.m., a 28-year-old and his father, 58, of Gasparillo, went to Marie Street, Arima, to purchase a Nissan Almera for $16,000. The deal was arranged through an account under the name “Marcelle.”
When they arrived, they met a man who spoke briefly with them before stepping back. Moments later, two men approached, one armed with a gun, and announced a robbery.
