One man is in custody after a "PH" taxi driver was beaten and robbed in Carlsen Field on Sunday.
According to a police report, the 31-year-old victim from Sou Sou Lands, Carlsen Field reported that around 10.50 p.m. he was plying his white Toyota Aqua when he picked up two male occupants at Busy Corner Chaguanas who asked to be taken inside Carlsen Field.
Upon reaching the Chase Mart Grocery Chase Village, the suspects stated that they have no money to pay, and the Scotia Bank ATM located inside the grocery compound has no money. The victim proceeded to return both suspects back to Busy Corner Chaguanas and upon reaching the Seereeram walkover north bound, they announced a robbery.
