A 46-year-old res­i­dent of Mt. Dor Road, Champs Fleurs, was grant­ed bail af­ter ap­pear­ing in court on a charge of bribery re­lat­ed to the April 28, 2025 Gen­er­al Elec­tion.

The man ap­peared be­fore Mas­ter Gray on Mon­day, May 5th, 2025. He was grant­ed bail on his own re­cog­ni­zance and is sched­uled to re­turn to court on June 5th, 2025.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­port from the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS), the man was ar­rest­ed on Mon­day, April 28th, and charged on Fri­day, May 2nd, 2025, with bribery un­der Sec­tion 96(2)(a) of the Rep­re­sen­ta­tion of the Peo­ple Act, Chap­ter 2:01.
