A vehicular accident outside the residence of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar resulted in minor damage to a section of the compound’s wall yesterday after a vehicle went out of control while negotiating a bend along the road.
According to reports, shortly after 8 a.m. the driver of the station wagon was proceeding along the SS Erin Road in Phillipine when the vehicle lost control, flipped, and crashed into a portion of the wall surrounding the Prime Minister’s residence.
Investigators said, during the incident, the vehicle also collided with an oncoming car, causing minor damage to it.
