Griffith calls for police probe into Rowley, Weekes after court ruling

FORMER police commissioner Gary Griffith is calling for a police investigation into former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley and former president Paula-Mae Weekes over their roles in the events surrounding the 2021 Commissioner of Police selection process.

In a statement issued following today's High Court ruling in his case against former Police Service Commission (PolSC) chairman Bliss Seepersad, Griffith said the wider circumstances surrounding the matter demanded independent scrutiny.

He said the judgment was more than a personal vindication.
