Former prime minister Dr Keith Rowley called a news conference at his Glencoe home yesterday where he claimed he was on Interpol’s watch list and demanded answers from the authorities—specifically the Prime Minister and the Commissioner of Police.
Shortly after the news conference ended, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) issued a statement saying that checks were conducted and Rowley is not on Interpol’s watch list.
Rowley, who served as prime minister for nearly a decade, demitted office in March this year after resigning.
