The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) ar­rest­ed four peo­ple for rob­bery and lar­ce­ny-re­lat­ed of­fences, de­tained four oth­ers in con­nec­tion with a firearms in­ves­ti­ga­tion, and re­cov­ered two stolen cel­lu­lar phones dur­ing a se­ries of in­tel­li­gence-led op­er­a­tions as part of Op­er­a­tion RES­OLUTE Shield in Ch­agua­nas, Port-of-Spain and To­ba­go.

In a state­ment is­sued yes­ter­day, the TTPS said that in Ch­agua­nas, of­fi­cers of the Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment (CID) con­duct­ed an in­tel­li­gence-led ex­er­cise be­tween 12 pm and 4.30 pm on Mon­day in re­sponse to re­cent rob­bery re­ports.

Po­lice said of­fi­cers went to a busi­ness es­tab­lish­ment along Main Road, Ch­agua­nas, where they ar­rest­ed a 31-year-old man in con­nec­tion with on­go­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions. Of­fi­cers lat­er went to Soogrim Trace, Or­ange Val­ley, fol­low­ing a re­port of a stolen cel­lu­lar phone and ar­rest­ed a 25-year-old man.
