An armed robbery at a popular fast food restaurant in Maraval on Tuesday night has left one employee injured and authorities searching for three suspects.
According to police reports, at around 9p.m., three masked men entered the Church’s Chicken and Pizza Boys branch located in Maraval and announced a robbery. The suspects, all believed to be of African descent, were armed and reportedly used force to subdue both staff and the on-site security personnel.
One of the men, described as having a dark complexion and slim build, brandished a firearm while ordering employees to lie on the floor. During the ordeal, a female cashier was dragged to the register, resulting in injuries to her left leg. She was later taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital for medical attention.
