Officers attached to the Morvant Police Station and the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF) seized 15 rounds of ammunition during an anti-crime operation in Morvant on Monday.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the exercise took place in the Cipriani Avenue and 2nd Caledonia areas and was aimed at targeting illegal firearm activity and improving public safety.
Police said officers conducted searches in several areas during the exercise. During a search near a basketball court, officers discovered a black plastic bag containing a transparent bag with ammunition.
