Police have seized a high-powered firearm and 28 rounds of ammunition during an intelligence-led anti-crime operation in Morvant, as law enforcement continues efforts to disrupt the flow of illegal weapons.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), officers attached to the North Eastern Division Task Force carried out Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E. Shield between 4 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday in the Morvant district.
During the exercise, officers went to an abandoned wooden and concrete structure along Hillview Road, Mon Repos, where they conducted a search.
