Two peo­ple have been placed un­der Pre­ven­tive De­ten­tion Or­ders (PDOs) un­der Reg­u­la­tion 14 of the Emer­gency Pow­ers Reg­u­la­tions, 2026, af­ter the Min­is­ter of Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty de­ter­mined their de­ten­tion was nec­es­sary to pre­vent acts con­sid­ered prej­u­di­cial to pub­lic safe­ty.

In sep­a­rate or­ders signed by Min­is­ter Roger Alexan­der, Seanique Vin­cent, al­so known as Shanique Wil­son, of Maize Dri­ve, Va­len­cia, and Rudranath Gayaper­sad of Chester Street, Debe, were or­dered to be de­tained based on in­tel­li­gence and on­go­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to al­leged or­gan­ised crim­i­nal ac­tiv­i­ty.

Vin­cent was or­dered de­tained on Ju­ly 10 at the Women’s Prison in Gold­en Grove, Arou­ca, or any oth­er lo­ca­tion di­rect­ed by the min­is­ter.
