An­oth­er prison of­fi­cer has been de­tained un­der a Pre­ven­tive De­ten­tion Or­der (PDO) in the lat­est batch is­sued by Min­is­ter of Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Roger Alexan­der.

The lat­est prison of­fi­cer de­tained is Gary Gour, of Princes Town, who au­thor­i­ties claim act­ed as a fa­cil­i­ta­tor for or­gan­ised crim­i­nal ac­tiv­i­ty with­in the Port-of-Spain Prison.

Ac­cord­ing to the de­ten­tion or­der, dat­ed May 18, Gour was “cred­i­bly iden­ti­fied” as be­ing linked to traf­fick­ing pro­hib­it­ed items, in­clud­ing cel­lu­lar phones, SIM cards, charg­ers, cig­a­rettes, mar­i­jua­na and oth­er con­tra­band in­to the prison sys­tem.
