(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Public Works will use part of a US$156 million loan from the world bank to provide consultancy services for the reconstruction of the existing road network on the East Coast Demerara – Mahaica Bridge to Abary Bridge Road Corridor.
According to a request for expression of interest published on the government procurement website, the consultancy service would include the review of designs, procurement support and construction supervision consultancy [inclusive of Environmental and Social (E&S) Compliance] for the road project.
The tender notice states that the Guyana Government has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Integrated Transport Corridors Project (ITCP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
