THE “imminent threat” which prompted Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro to approach the National Security Council for a state of emergency (SoE) to be declared in this country on July 18 has been “neutralised”.
So stated Guevarro while speaking on CCN TV6’s Morning Edition programme yesterday.
According to Guevarro, the police response has moved from disruption to the systematic dismantling of an organised criminal gang.
