Attorney General John Jeremie has revealed that attempts were made to use drones to infiltrate locations where relocated high-risk criminals are being held.
Jeremie further recalled the 1990 attempted coup, stating that many lives would have been lost had the Government not acted on the Police Commissioner’s recommendation to declare a state of emergency (SoE).
The AG yesterday piloted the motion seeking the House’s approval for a three-month extension to the SoE during an extraordinary sitting of Parliament yesterday. The extension was passed.
