117 detainees released as SoE expires

One hundred and seventeen detainees held under Preventive Detention Orders (PDOs) were released from the Eastern Correctional and Rehabilitation Centre in Santa Rosa between Friday and yesterday, hours before the state of emergency (SoE) expired at midnight.
Yesterday, 85 detainees were released, with 32 walking free on Friday, police confirmed to the Sunday Express.
