Police are investigating an incident of malicious damage to government property after vandals targeted the Carapichaima West Secondary School on Wednesday night, scattering documents, overturning garbage bins, and damaging classroom doors.
According to a report made by a MTS guard, the incident occurred around 11p.m. on while he was on duty at the school compound, located at McLeod Trace, Calcutta #4, Freeport.
The guard told police that while stationed at the school’s security booth, he heard unusual noises coming from the northern side of the compound. He left the booth temporarily to investigate but observed nothing suspicious at that time.
