Police are investigating acts of vandalism at the Carapichaima West Secondary School during the Republic Day holiday on Wednesday night.
An estate constable with the National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited (MTS) was on duty at the school around 11:00 p.m. when he reportedly heard noises coming from the northern side of the compound. After checking the area, he found nothing unusual.
When he returned to his security booth, however, he discovered that 16 pages from an MTS desk diary had been torn out and defaced with pen markings.
