THE Government has approved the buyout of the vacation leave of former commissioner of police Erla Harewood-Christopher.
“We have approved the payment of unutilised vacation leave for Harewood-Christopher,” Persad-Bissessar said at yesterday’s post-Cabinet news conference at the Red House, Port of Spain.
The Commissioner of Police’s salary is $43,155 per month, and Harewood-Christopher has 66 days of vacation leave.
