Police: No proof of T&T link

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service says it has not received any reports about T&T citizens being arrested in Venezuela following statements made by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro that several men had been held with “weapons of war” attempting to enter Venezuela from Trinidad.

This follows Minister of People’s Power for Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, reiterating Maduro’s claims on Wednesday.

Cabello identified the Trinidadian suspect as “Guis Kendell Jerome”.
