T&T no safer under SoE, says MP

LAVENTILLE East/Morvant Member of Parliament Christian Birchwood says he does not feel the country feels any safer under a state of emergency (SoE). He also said 'a country should not be governed by an SoE'.

The MP made this comment yesterday before entering the Parliament Chamber in Port of Spain.

Asked if he felt there was any discrimination over the Zones of Special Operations (ZOSO) legislation which the Government promised to bring back to Parliament, Birchwood responded with 'no comment.'
