WITH more than 30 murders recorded since the state of emergency was enacted last month, former national security minister Marvin Gonzales says the Government needs to return to the drawing board on its crime-fighting strategy.
As of yesterday, the murder toll stood at 94, with the latest incident being recorded on Saturday morning when 38-year-old Ryan Morris was fatally stabbed during a confrontation outside a bar in Barataria.
The comparative for the same period in 2025 was 99, and in 2024, that number stood at 143.
