(Kaieteur News) – Orlanzo Webster, a 42-year-old police sergeant of ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was charged with Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm, contrary to Section 49 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.

According to a release, the charge alleges that he assaulted a 40-year-old female special constable of the said address on Saturday, 8th October, 2025.

Webster appeared on Wednesday,14th July, 2026, before Magistrate Abigail Gibbs at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and bail was granted in the sum of $150,000. The matter was adjourned to 14th September, 2026.
