Forty-two-year-old Orlanzo Webster, a Police Sergeant of ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was granted $150,000 bail on an assault charge on Tuesday.

Police stated that the charge stemmed from an incident involving a 40-year-old female Special Constable from ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, on Saturday, October 8, 2025.

Webster, however, appeared before Magistrate Abigail Gibbs at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail. He is expected to make his next court appearance on September 14, 2026.
