Eighteen outstanding students are being recognised for their academic excellence after receiving the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship, an initiative that celebrates achievement while strengthening educational ties between Trinidad and Tobago and China.

The scholarships were presented through a partnership between the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation.

Chinese Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago Ren Hongyan said the programme reflects both countries’ shared commitment to investing in young people.
