“Education is the passport out of poverty.”

So declared Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar as she delivered the feature address on Thursday at the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Regional Awards Ceremony at Government Campus Plaza, Richmond Street, Port of Spain.

“Education is the key. Education is the passport. Education is the only passport out of poverty. Education is the key for a better quality of life,” she said.
