The Min­istry of the Peo­ple, So­cial De­vel­op­ment and Fam­i­ly Ser­vices (MPS­DFS) has pro­vid­ed more than $200,000 in Home Re­pair and Dis­as­ter Gen­er­al As­sis­tance Grants to sup­port vul­ner­a­ble house­holds in the Princes Town re­gion.

On Wednes­day (March 18, 2026), a to­tal of thir­teen house­holds, com­pris­ing 40 ben­e­fi­cia­ries, re­ceived a com­bined $224,928 in fi­nan­cial aid through the Na­tion­al So­cial De­vel­op­ment Pro­gramme (NS­DP).

Eleven house­holds were award­ed Home Re­pair Grants, ben­e­fit­ing 31 in­di­vid­u­als, with a to­tal of $210,753 dis­trib­uted. Two house­holds re­ceived Dis­as­ter Gen­er­al As­sis­tance Grants, sup­port­ing nine ben­e­fi­cia­ries, val­ued at $14,175.
