Central families receive $462,000 in disaster and home repair grants

Fifty-nine households across central Trinidad have received more than $462,000 in Government assistance through disaster relief and home repair grants aimed at helping vulnerable families recover and rebuild.
The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services distributed the grants during a ceremony held at the Chaguanas Borough Corporation Auditorium on Monday.
According to the ministry, the assistance will benefit 163 people and totals $462,007.75.
