SAN Fernando Mayor Robert Parris has dismissed a letter purportedly halting the renewal of contracts for short-term workers employed by the San Fernando Regional Corporation as “mischief.”
A letter written by the Corporation’s chief executive officer was shared with the Express yesterday which informed workers that temporary employment contracts would come to an end past December 31 of this year. Signed and stamped by CEO Heather Crawford, the letter reads that contracts would not be renewed in the new year.
“Please be advised that the Corporation will not be renewing your contract after the above-mentioned date. On behalf of the San Fernando City Corporation, I wish to thank you for the kind services rendered during the period of your Temporary Contract Appointment,” it read.
