Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles, accompanied by a panel of lawyers, will host a legal clinic for all contractors terminated by the Community-Based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP) this morning.
The consultation, to be held at 10 a.m. at the Lisas Gardens Community Centre in Couva, was announced after several members of the Opposition People’s National Movement (PNM) yesterday lambasted the Government’s decision to terminate all contracts, referring to the development as “callous”, “cruel” and “heartless”.
