THE United States military yesterday seized a fifth oil tanker east of the Caribbean, reportedly near Trinidad and Tobago, as the US government furthers its ‘blockade’ of Venezuela’s crude exports in the aftermath of its extraction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro last week.

The vessel, OLINA (9282479), was reportedly boarded by US forces on Friday morning near Trinidad, international media reported.

According to the public shipping database, Equasis, the vessel was reportedly falsely flying the flag of Southeast Asian nation Timor-Leste.
