ON the heels of the United States seizing an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela yesterday, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said Trinidad and Tobago continues to fully support the US in dismantling narco-trafficking cartels and sanction-busting activities.
The Prime Minister pointed out that she had previously stated that the new radar installed in Tobago would assist in the detection of illegal activities.
“I clearly said that the new radar system assists with the detection of Venezuelan crude oil sanction-busting activities and traffickers who have been conducting deliveries of narcotics, firearms, ammunition and migrants into our country from Venezuela,” she said.
