The United States military today seized a fifth oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea, reportedly near Trinidad and Tobago, as the US government furthers its ‘blockade’ of Venezuela’s crude exports in the aftermath of its extraction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro last week.
The vessel, OLINA (9282479), was reportedly boarded by US forces earlier this morning near Trinidad, international media reported.
According to the public shipping database, Equasis, the vessel was reportedly falsely flying the flag of Timor Leste.
