Eight sus­pects were held and two firearms and a quan­ti­ty of am­mu­ni­tion seized, by of­fi­cers dur­ing var­i­ous an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es con­duct­ed on Wednes­day.

In the Port of Spain Di­vi­sion, of­fi­cers of the In­ter-Agency Task Force, con­duct­ed an ex­er­cise around 4:30 pm, dur­ing which they pro­ceed­ed to the Bel­mont dis­trict.

There, they con­duct­ed a search at Bel­mont Val­ley Road, where they found one re­volver, loaded with five rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.
