A 22-year-old woman has been arrested after police seized a Glock pistol and ammunition during anti-crime exercises that also resulted in the recovery of another firearm and cannabis following an alleged confrontation with an armed suspect.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), officers recovered two firearms, 21 rounds of ammunition and approximately 236 grammes of cannabis during separate operations carried out between Tuesday and early Wednesday.
The first exercise was conducted between 8 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday by officers of the DCP Operations Tactical Team in the Northern Division.
