The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service reported that officers seized a firearm, ammunition and quantities of cannabis during anti-crime exercises conducted in the Central and North Eastern Divisions yesterday.
According to the TTPS, officers conducted a search in the Las Lomas district between 6 pm and 11 pm on Tuesday 10th March, 2026. During the operation, they discovered two plastic zip-lock bags containing cannabis weighing approximately 75 grammes hidden in a pile of red bricks on the western side of a building.
Further searches on the eastern side of the premises led to the discovery of a black plastic bag concealed in a bushy area containing assorted ammunition. Officers seized one round of 9mm ammunition and five rounds of 5.56mm ammunition.
